Goblin Shaman_A (Goblins)

The goblin chieftain came close to the Shaman and asked him for his help, the Undead were closing in and things had become very dangerous.

-"You do not stand a chance," he giggled in his face, "our race wins battles due to our great numbers. You have but a couple of thousand warriors left. What choices do you have? Go away, I have nothing for you!"

-"I have gold," replied the chieftain, "surely you can help me with some magic!" The goblin Shaman paused, he then enquired upon the sum he was offering. The chieftain took out a small casket under his cloak and opened it, showing him the gold. "It's all yours, but you need to earn it first!"

The goblin Shaman took one of the coins, bit it. He liked what he tasted. He slowly got up, walked to the lantern of his hut and took out a purple gem from underneath it. "This gem contains great power against the Undead. It cannot harm the wielder of it, but whatever is close to it crumbles to the ground. Be carefull though. In order to unleash it's mystical power, you need to break it! Since you only have one use of it, I'd advise you to head right into the centre of their army, as deep as you can m'lord. And then crash it, securing your victory! Tell no-one about it and you will always be feared for what tremendous hidden powers you may be carrying. You shall live forever in greatness oh fearless ruler!"

And so the goblin chieftain assembled his men and encouraged them to face their foes one last time. Goblins are known to panic easily if their numbers do not favor them, theirs is a war of attrition. But their leader was charging into battle headfirst, so they picked up a little bravery and followed him.

The chieftain had an ace up his sleeve. A terrible weapon that usually frightened him, but this time would be a precious ally. Magic! He bravely charged against the enemy, with all his might. He had an axe in one hand and a sword in the other, slashing his way through. And when the others could follow him no longer, he kept on going, without saving any energy. And when he was exhausted and surrounded by hundreds of Heavy Skeleton soldiers, he grabbed the purple gem and smashed it with the handle of his sword. It fell to the ground in pieces. But it made no flash, no sound, nothing, there was no magic hidden within it. In his last seconds of life and before tenths of swords pierced his exhausted and energy-drained body, he could see how the goblin Shaman had tricked him, and could immagine him laughing and counting the gold coins he had so foolishly offered him. Now he was taking the treachery he had suffered to his grave...
